TN CM launches expanded free bus travel for women, issues zero-fare tickets
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay launched the expanded 'Vettri Payanam' free bus travel scheme for women on Gandhi Jayanti. The initiative now includes 12,695 buses covering over 40 km, benefiting approximately 84.32 lakh women daily. This expansion aims to enhance access to public transport, supporting women's education and employment across the state.
