Mumbai police booked two Goa residents for extorting ₹41 lakh from a representative of The House of Abhinandan Lodha. The duo allegedly demanded ₹6 crore to ensure uninterrupted construction on a project in Goa, with ₹34 lakh and ₹7 lakh accepted in installments. The police registered an FIR on August 27 after the complainant reported ongoing threats and demands.
