Unemployment rate in country stands at 5% in September, stable compared to August: NSO
The unemployment rate in India remained stable at 5% in September, unchanged from August, according to the National Statistical Office (NSO). Rural unemployment slightly increased from 4.1% to 4.2%, while urban unemployment rose marginally from 6.8% to 6.9%. The Labour Force Participation Rate for those aged 15 and above was 55.5%, down from 55.6%.
