Union Cabinet approves raising EPFO wage ceiling to ₹25,000 per month
The Union Cabinet approved raising the wage ceiling for mandatory Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) coverage to ₹25,000 per month from ₹15,000. This change is expected to extend coverage to over 5.1 million additional employees. The new ceiling will also increase contributions from both employees and employers, effective immediately.
