US helicopter fires missiles at Panama-flagged ship attempting to evade blockade
A US Navy MH-60 helicopter fired two Hellfire missiles at the Panama-flagged M/V Vela Nova, disabling it as it attempted to evade a blockade. The US Central Command reported that the vessel's crew ignored warnings, marking the third ship halted since the blockade's reinstatement on July 14. This incident escalates tensions in the ongoing US-Iran maritime conflict.
