US religious freedom panel calls on govt to revoke RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's visa ahead of NYC event
The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) called for the revocation of Mohan Bhagwat's visa ahead of his New York City event on August 29. USCIRF Chair Dr. Asif Mahmood cited deteriorating religious freedom in India and urged sanctions against RSS members and Indian officials involved in violations. The U.S. government is urged to act on these recommendations.
