US sanctions Indian firms, individuals as Iran oil crackdown widens
The United States imposed sanctions on two Mumbai-based firms, SSPL Solutions Private Limited and Samudra Marine Services Private Limited, on Thursday for alleged involvement in oil trade with Iran. Five Indian nationals linked to these companies were also sanctioned. This action is part of 'Operation Economic Outcast' aimed at reducing Iranian oil revenues that support military and cyber operations.
