US Sec 301 tariffs unlikely to hit India's exports
India's exports are unlikely to face significant impacts from the new US Section 301 tariffs, according to Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) Director General Ajay Sahai. The US imposed tariffs of 10% and 12.5% on 60 economies, with India placed in the lower 10% category alongside countries like the UK and Canada. Sahai noted that while the textile sector requires monitoring, overall, India secured a favorable position compared to many other nations facing higher tariffs.
