Uttar Pradesh brings in OTS scheme for pending property tax dues
The Uttar Pradesh government launched a one-time settlement scheme on August 15 to help taxpayers clear pending property tax dues across 762 urban local bodies. The initiative allows property owners to settle outstanding house, water, and sewerage tax dues in up to three installments, with one-third due within 30 days. This scheme aims to relieve taxpayers and strengthen the financial position of urban local bodies, facilitating improvements in public facilities such as roads and sanitation.
