In Varanasi, 276 property owners paid ₹39.36 lakh in taxes under the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme within three days of its launch. The scheme, which began on August 15, waives interest and surcharge if the principal amount is paid upfront, and offers installment options for smaller dues. The initiative aims to ease financial burdens and enhance tax collection until December 15.
