Vikram Sarabhai Medal awarded to Astrophysicist Annapurni Subramaniam
Astrophysicist Annapurni Subramaniam received the COSPAR Vikram Sarabhai Medal for 2026 during the 46th COSPAR Scientific Assembly in Florence, Italy. She is the fourth Indian to be honored with this international award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to space research from scientists in developing countries. Subramaniam serves as the director of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics and the Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences.
