Wayanad landslide: BJP says Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra used constituency for 'political survival'
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Tuhin Sinha criticized Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra for their lack of engagement with families affected by a recent landslide in Wayanad. Sinha accused them of treating the constituency as a 'political convenience' and failing to visit the site after the disaster, which was triggered by intense rainfall. The BJP's remarks come in the wake of the July 7 landslide, the second major incident in the area since July 2024, raising concerns about environmental vulnerabilities.
