What the Election Commission needs to disclose about its AI use, and why
The Supreme Court suggested that the Election Commission of India (ECI) could use AI to process lakhs of affidavits in the Trinamool Congress symbol dispute. Currently, the ECI operates unaudited software for electoral rolls and claims it does not use AI. The court has given the ECI until December 28, 2026, to resolve the faction dispute.
