Wheat flour returns to global menu as India lifts ban
The Central Government lifted the export ban on wheat flour and related products, including maida and semolina, effective immediately. This amendment to the Export Policy allows free exports for the first time since July 2022, when restrictions were imposed due to rising local prices amid global supply disruptions. The move aims to stabilize the market and enhance India's export capacity.
