Will shut Iranian flights from tomorrow: US new arm-twist move against Tehran
The U.S. will shut down Iranian flights starting September 23, 2026, as part of an expanded sanctions campaign against Tehran. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that foreign companies providing services to Iranian airlines face secondary sanctions, effectively barring them from global operations. This move aims to restrict Iran's access to international financial networks and aviation services.
