YouTuber Saurav Joshi retracted his claim that E20 petrol caused a significant drop in fuel efficiency of his Mercedes-Benz SUV, attributing the issue to an engine fault instead. This clarification follows Mercedes-Benz India's assertion that all its BS VI petrol models are compatible with E20 fuel. Joshi apologized for any confusion caused by his earlier statements, which had suggested a drastic reduction in mileage from 17 kmpl to 5 kmpl due to the fuel.
