Zidane named France coach on four-year deal
Zinedine Zidane has been appointed as the new coach of the French national football team on a four-year contract, succeeding Didier Deschamps. Zidane's appointment follows Deschamps' 14-year tenure, which ended after France's fourth-place finish at the World Cup. Zidane will start his coaching role with an away UEFA Nations League match against Turkey before facing Italy at home on October 2.
