- 172 students at a Karnataka residential school in Hassan allegedly lived, ate and studied in a cattle shed for nearly five years.
- The Dr BR Ambedkar Residential School houses 92 boys and 80 girls from Classes 6 to 10.
- Students reportedly shared five toilets and used the same space for sleeping and classroom activities.
- Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa sought a report, calling the arrangement unacceptable; students were shifted to hostels.
