51 Indians killed after being recruited into Russian Army, says Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri
- India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said on Monday that 51 Indians recruited into the Russian Army have died.
- Many were allegedly duped by travel agents with job offers, with some working as cooks and helpers.
- Of the 227 Indians known to have joined, 139 have been discharged, with talks on to free the rest.
- The Supreme Court has ordered a nodal officer to help families of the dead, missing and injured.
