Air India terminates pilot after positive drug test following Phuket-Delhi incident
- Air India terminated the pilot-in-command of a Phuket-Delhi flight on Friday for testing positive for drugs.
- The incident followed AAIB findings on the 4 August flight, which lost 300 feet of altitude mid-journey.
- The Airbus A320, carrying 137 passengers and 8 crew, experienced a hydraulic pressure loss, injuring 24 people.
- The co-pilot tested negative in the drug test, but the pilot's confirmatory test came back positive.
