Anthropic unveils its fastest and cheapest AI model, Claude Haiku 5.5, with major price cuts

On October 7, Anthropic launched Claude Haiku 5.5, its fastest and cheapest small AI model yet.
The new model costs 90% less than Haiku 4.5 for prompts up to 100,000 tokens, with average savings of 75%.
Haiku 5.5 handles summaries, database queries, coding support and customer service at lower operating costs.
The launch follows Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5, expanding Anthropic's AI lineup ahead of its planned public listing.
