- Rohit had three birth certificates showing different years, making him ineligible for U-19 age-group cricket.
- His Aadhaar records also showed conflicting birth years, changing from 2007 to 2006, then 2009 by 2021.
- Separately, the Cricket Association of Bengal declared 62 players ineligible over similar discrepancies.
