Captain Smit Machchhar's head stitches reveal severity of mid-air attack

Indian pilot Smit Machchhar suffered serious head injuries after his co-pilot attacked him during a Flydubai flight.
• A long line of stitches on his head shows the severity of his injuries.
Despite being badly injured, he opened the cockpit door, allowing passengers & crew to stop the attacker.
His courage helped save 174 people aboard the Dubai-Tel Aviv flight, which landed safely in Saudi Arabia.
