- India's Chetan Bhatt lost his bronze medal match in the men's 84 kg kumite at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya on Tuesday.
- The bout against Chinese Taipei's Meng-yu Chu ended level at 1-1, and Meng-yu was declared the winner on senshu.
- Senshu goes to the fighter who scores the first unopposed point, and it decides any bout that finishes in a tie.
- Earlier the same day he lost his semi-final 8-0 to Jordan's Mohammad Al-Jafari, barely managing a scoring attack.
