China's envoy calls for stronger India ties ahead of PM Modi–Chinese President Xi talks

- Xi Jinping and PM Modi will hold their third consecutive year of bilateral talks at the BRICS Summit.
- Xi is set to arrive in New Delhi on Saturday, his first India visit since 2019, amid post-Ladakh standoff efforts.
- The two sides recently reached an eight-point consensus on boundary delimitation at talks in Beijing.
