Chirag Paswan’s party prepares for UP 2027 polls with focus on dalit voters

Chirag Paswan announced that his Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas will contest the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
The party says it is preparing for all 403 constituencies, with its final alliance strategy undecided.
The party is targeting non-Jatav Dalit voters, including Pasi and Paswan communities, to expand its presence in Uttar Pradesh.
The move comes amid competition for Dalit support after the Samajwadi Party made gains and the Bahujan Samaj Party’s vote share declined.
