CJI Surya Kant declines INDIA bloc meeting, tells Opposition to file petition

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has declined the INDIA bloc’s request for a meeting ahead of its march on Monday.
He advised the Opposition parties to file a petition instead, as the issues they wish to raise are already before the court.
He said the court cannot meet a delegation of a political party in this way, as its role is to hear petitions and rule on them.
