CSK appoint former England spinner Gareth Batty as assistant coach for IPL 2027

Chennai Super Kings have named former England spinner Gareth Batty as assistant coach for the 2027 IPL.
Batty leaves Surrey, where he is head coach, after three County Championships in a row from 2022.
He ends a 21-year link with the English county, having captained it and taken over 500 wickets.
Batty played 20 internationals for England, including nine Tests, and took 682 first-class wickets.
