Cult leader Paul Mackenzie convicted over deaths of 190 children in Kenya
- A Kenyan court on Monday convicted cult leader Paul Mackenzie of murdering 190 children.
- About 30 other accused were also convicted over 191 deaths in Shakahola forest in eastern Kenya.
- The court found the deaths resulted from an organised system of enforced fasting among his followers.
- Mackenzie’s lawyer said the defence will appeal, arguing his client forced nobody to fast.
