cyberattack disrupts North Korea’s internet over 40 websites go down
- A cyberattack likely caused internet outages in North Korea this week, network monitor Kentik found.
- Kentik’s Doug Madory said traffic spikes that began on Tuesday pointed to a denial-of-service attack.
- More than 40 official .kp websites went down, including the foreign ministry and state news agency KCNA.
- Madory said the data does not show who was responsible, and only part of the traffic was analysed.
