Darshan murder case takes new turn as key witness changes testimony
- In June 2024, Renukaswamy, a 33-year- old Darshan fan, was allegedly kidnapped and beaten to death over offensive messages to Pavithra Gowda.
- Police found his body near a drain and arrested Kannada actor Darshan, Pavithra Gowda and others on murder charges.
- Both received bail in December 2024, but the Supreme Court cancelled it in August 2025, sending them back to jail.
