Delhi destroys over 2,800 kg of unsafe food as festive inspections uncover poor storage
- Delhi inspected major food markets on Monday as demand for sweets and dairy products increased before festivals.
- Officials found 2,830 kg of khoya, dhaap and butter unclaimed, foul-smelling and stored in dirty conditions.
- All 10 khoya and cream samples collected from Mori Gate failed laboratory safety tests.
- Four Janakpuri samples contained detergent, leading to the destruction of 150 kg of paneer and 10 kg of khoya.
