Delhi launches 56 special electric buses for women
- Delhi rolled out 56 women-only electric bus services on August 19, aimed mainly at working women and college students.
- The plan includes 30 Ladies Special trips on 15 busy routes and 26 University Ladies Special trips across 13 routes.
- Women police personnel and Home Guards will be on board, while panic buttons are linked directly to Delhi Police's 112.
- The launch came with 200 new electric buses, taking Delhi's electric fleet past 5,000, according to the government.
