Delhi plans artificial rain if pollution worsens after Diwali
- Delhi government plans to use cloud seeding to bring artificial rain if pollution worsens after Diwali.
- Delhi’s AQI stood at 367 on Thursday, in the very poor category, while Jahangirpuri recorded a severe 459.
- Two cloud-seeding trials were conducted in the past two weeks, including one near Delhi Airport, at three times last year’s height.
- Analyst Sunil Dahiya said cloud seeding may help during pollution spikes but cannot stop pollution at its source.
