Delhi Police files FIR against Meta India over child abuse material on its platforms

- National Human Rights Commission member Priyank Kanoongo said on X the FIR followed its directions.
- Meta says it acted on 5.3 million such items in India from January to June, most of them proactively.
- The NHRC had earlier flagged over 50 Instagram cases and questioned whether Meta acts as a publisher.
