Disney’s India JV loss narrows to $44 million as JioStar turns profitable
- Disney’s loss from its Reliance Industries joint venture in India fell to $44 million in the June quarter, from $50 million a year earlier.
- The loss for the nine months ended June stood at $136 million, down from $186 million in the same period last year.
- The joint venture, JioStar, reported revenue of ₹30,819 crore in FY26, up 46.5% from ₹21,044 crore a year earlier.
- JioStar’s profit after tax rose to ₹3,145 crore in FY26, compared with just ₹18 crore in the previous year.
