FBI blames North Korea for theft of over $6 billion from Binance as exchange vows to cover losses

The FBI said on Saturday that North Korea was behind the theft of over $6 billion from Binance.
The bureau said the TraderTraitor group, blamed for the 2025 Bybit theft, struck on or around 29 October.
The FBI said stolen funds were being converted to Ethereum and urged firms to block linked transactions.
Binance said it will cover all losses with its own funds, and expects to resume withdrawals on Sunday.
