Finance Minister Sitharaman open to feedback on LTCG tax removal

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government is open to hearing views on scrapping LTCG tax.
Investors have raised concerns over LTCG tax, securities transaction tax STT and taxation across asset classes.
The government is reviewing proposals to change LTCG tax on equities ahead of Budget 2027-28.
Sitharaman has not promised to remove the tax, with any changes still under consideration.
