Former Maharashtra minister Madan Bafna dies at 87 in Pune
- Former state minister and NCP SP leader Madan Bafna, 87, died of a heart attack in Pune on Monday.
- He began his political career via Zilla Parishad, becoming a Pune ZP member in 1977 before entering state politics.
- Bafna represented the Maval assembly seat twice and served as minister of state for revenue, finance and law.
- He joined Sharad Pawar's NCP in 1999 after quitting Congress, remaining associated with Pawar until his death.
