Gem Veeramani POCSO case: Tamil Nadu police set up special team of women officers for probe
- Tamil Nadu DGP Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal has formed a four-member all-woman SIT to probe the Veeramani POCSO case.
- The team will be headed by Additional Commissioner of Police P C Thenmozhi of the Central Crime Branch.
- The SIT will review evidence and statements already collected and investigate the case further.
- The move follows questions over the earlier probe, after a POCSO court rejected a police closure report and ordered a fresh investigation.
