‘Girls don’t want village boys’: Karnataka farmer’s unusual plea to CM
- A farmer at a Praja Seva event in Piriyapatna told Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar village boys struggle to marry.
- He said girls do not want to marry village boys even if they own acres of land, and asked the CM to act.
- He said men aged 35-40 stay unmarried as families prefer grooms with government, corporate or salaried jobs.
- He also claimed some bachelors died by suicide; Shivakumar laughed at the appeal, and similar cases are reported in Mandya.
