HDFC Bank shares gain 2% on CEO appointment, strong Q2 business update
- HDFC Bank shares rose nearly 2% to ₹734 after the lender appointed Anup Bagchi as its new MD & CEO.
- The Reserve Bank of India approved Bagchi’s three-year term, starting October 27, when he will succeed Sashidhar Jagdishan.
- HDFC Bank’s average advances grew 14% year-on-year to ₹31.87 lakh crore in the September quarter.
- Average deposits rose 16.8% to ₹31.67 lakh crore, while CASA deposits grew 10.7% during Q2.
