IIT Bombay student’s parents begin hunger strike, seek action over his death
- Sahil Wakode’s parents began an indefinite hunger strike in Mumbai on September 24.
- They are seeking action against those they accuse of tormenting their son and want the case handed to the CBI.
- The student died on September 18, hours after being questioned for using a mobile phone during an exam, police said.
- His parents have also sought action against IIT Bombay officials named in the case and an independent probe into the leak of CCTV footage.
