- Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency has raised its reward for Masood Azhar to 70 lakh Pakistani rupees, about Rs 24 lakh.
- The United States has offered $10 million for him, roughly four hundred times as much.
- India called it a gimmick, with foreign ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal saying such hoodwinking is nothing new.
- This comes weeks before the Financial Action Task Force meets in October to decide if Pakistan returns to the grey list.
