India expands refining capacity towards 300 MMTPA, signs energy pact with Mauritius
- Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Friday in a post on X that India's refining capacity is rising from 272 MMTPA towards 300 MMTPA.
- India and Mauritius signed an oil and gas MoU on Thursday, with a five-year IndianOil deal to supply fuel to the island nation.
- IndianOil will supply petrol, diesel, marine gas oil and aviation turbine fuel, ensuring price stability and energy security.
- India has 23 refineries processing nearly 270 million metric tonnes annually as the world's third-largest refiner.
