India plans stricter learner’s licence tests, with pass marks set to rise to 75%

Central Government has proposed increasing the safe-driving assessment pass mark from 60% to 75%.
Applicants may need to complete a minimum 30-minute online road safety tutorial.
The time allowed to complete the tutorial could increase from 7 to 15 days.
• The government also plans free online driving licence updates & faster approval of personal detail changes.
