India reduces diesel and ATF windfall taxes again from October 1
- India's Finance Ministry on Wednesday, cut the diesel export levy to Rs 16 per litre from Rs 20, effective October 1.
- The ATF export levy was reduced to
- Rs 10.5 per litre from Rs 15, while petrol duty stayed at Rs 0.50 per litre.
- From October 1, only export levies change; domestic petrol and diesel excise duty rates remain unaffected.
- India introduced these levies on
- 27 March 2026 amid the West Asia crisis.
