'India to build 100 new airports over next 10 years,' says Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu
- Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu said on Tuesday that India will build 100 new airports in 10 years.
- Speaking in Ahmedabad, he said airport numbers rose from 74 in 2014 to 166 today under the UDAN scheme.
- He also inaugurated India's third "hub & spoke" flight service at Ahmedabad airport for global connectivity.
- The plan falls under Modified UDAN, approved by the Cabinet in March, running from FY27 to FY36 at Rs 28,840 crore.
