Indian Railways launches nationwide drinking-water clean-up
- Indian Railways will inspect water sources, treatment plants, tanks, filters, taps and vending points nationwide.
- Drinking-water tanks will be drained, scrubbed and disinfected, while damaged pipes and filters will be repaired.
- Water samples will undergo physical, chemical and bacterial tests, with daily chlorine checks where required.
