- On September 26, IRCTC clarified that a viral image showing a difficult maths CAPTCHA is not genuine.
- The viral CAPTCHA asked users to solve 9876 × 543 – 2468 ÷ 4, triggering jokes and confusion online.
- IRCTC says its actual CAPTCHA only asks users to perform simple addition or subtraction with two-digit numbers.
- It said the viral screenshot appears fabricated, manipulated or AI-generated and is not from its website.
